A second public open house about future development in the Kanata Highlands will be held on Tuesday, December 8 from 7pm-8pm in the Owen Prince Room, Mlacak Centre.

Come and find out the results of the Existing Conditions and Constraints Analysis done for the new development property required before finalizing a development plan. The Kanata Highlands is owned by Richcraft and is one of the expansion lands added to the urban area.  The legal address is 820 Huntmar Drive, while the property runs between Huntmar and Terry Fox Drive. This meeting is the follow up to the first public open house which was held on June 16, 2015. This land was added into the urban boundary and designated “Urban Expansion Study Area” on Schedule B – Urban Policy Plan of the City of Ottawa Official Plan.  Once the comprehensive evaluation of these lands is complete an Official Plan Amendment is required to re-designate the lands from Urban Expansion Study Area to General Urban Area.
