UPDATE (NOV 6): The City of Ottawa says they’re not the stinky ones. Here’s an email response attributed to Dixon Weir, General Manager of Environmental Services:
The City received reports on Wednesday evening of a strong odour near Shea Road in Stittsville. City staff were dispatched to investigate at around 5 p.m. yesterday but the odours had dissipated by the time they arrived. The City has not received any reports of odours since yesterday and today’s investigation has revealed no issues with City infrastructure or operations to which the odour complaints can be attributed.
