A moving candlelit ceremony capped off day of celebrations to open Stittsville’s new Peace Park, a project organized by the Rotary Club in partnership with the City of Ottawa’s Better Neighbourhoods Program.
The centrepiece of the new park is a stone labyrinth, designed as a “contemplative path” for walking meditation. The Rotary Club says it’s “inclusive and non-denominational and is an easy way for people to centre and calm themselves.”
Rotary Clubs are found all over the globe and their goal is “to create positive, lasting change” in their communities.
